HONOR HER LEGACY & MEMORY

Twenty-five years ago, our daughter, sister, and friend, Kristin Smart, disappeared. She was an outgoing, vibrant, 19-year-old Cal Poly freshman. Kristin loved to travel and explore new cultures and was pursuing a college degree in architecture. She had dreams to conquer the world and believed she could achieve anything she set her mind to.

While Kristin’s case is ongoing, our family remains hopeful and deeply devoted to creating a lasting legacy to honor her life.

To help ensure other college-bound women can live out their dreams and achieve their educational goals, the Kristin Smart Scholarship was established in 2017. Each Spring, scholarships are awarded to exceptional young women from San Luis Obispo and San Joaquin Counties.

While we cannot change the past, we can ensure Kristin’s legacy lives on by providing opportunity, through the gift of scholarship, for other women to follow their dreams in the way that Kristin had hoped to live out hers.

Our family is deeply grateful to all those who have shown their support through this challenging 25-year journey. We appreciate everyone who has donated to the Kristin Smart Scholarship over the years and those who continue to give and honor her life. Our gratitude is immeasurable. We remain ever hopeful.
